Jigesa is a washing station located in the Shakisso woreda of Ethiopia's Guji zone. It is privately owned by Testi Coffee, a family-run business founded by Mr. Faysel A. Yonis, and is named after the local village of Jigesa. With an altitude of 1,740 meters above sea level, Jigesa produces excellent washed and naturally processed coffee. The washing station was established in 2014 and employs around 250-260 seasonal workers, of which approximately 200 are women who hand-sort parchment. The remaining 50 workers are employed at the onsite dry mill. During harvest season, freshly picked coffee cherries are delivered daily by 500 independent outgrowers from the nearby kebele of Dambi Uddo and collection points in Wese and Suke.
